Anne Wilson’s Debut Album, “My Jesus”, Album Review & Autographed CD GIVEAWAY!!!

Last fall I was scrolling TikTok and heard this amazing song being sung by Anne Wilson. She's a young, new Christian artist who has opened tours for Big Daddy Weave and even debuted her single on The Joy FM "My Jesus". Don't let me be the judge stop what your doing and listen here!

My Jesus is a wonderfully uplifting song about how great Jesus is and what he's done for us, his children. Every word to this song is 100% correct and I couldn't think of a better way to express what he's done for us as she has in this song. Anne co-wrote the song my Jesus with Jeff Pardo and Matthew West after dealing with the loss of her older brother (Jacob) who was tragically killed at the young age of 23 in a car accident. Even though she has had such a great loss Anne has used worship as a tribute to her heavenly father to show that Jesus can help us with any situation we may be facing. 

I was given the opportunity to attend a virtual live concert Wednesday night featuring Anne Wilson and her music from her debut album, My Jesus. I enjoyed every minute of it! She's a fresh breath of air!  It was a wonderful experience seeing her perform. 

ABOUT ANNE 

Singer/songwriter Anne Wilson knows the healing power of music firsthand. The lyrics of Hillsong Worship’s “What A Beautiful Name” became a lifeline for the Lexington, Kentucky native after her brother was tragically killed in a car accident at the age of 23. Although she spent much of her childhood behind a piano, Wilson sang in front of an audience for the first time at her brother’s funeral. It was at that moment that she realized what she was born to do. A video of her moving performance organically circulated, eventually landing her a record deal. With a mesmerizing voice and a visible hunger for Jesus, the 20-year-old relies on personal journal entries and time spent in nature for songwriting inspiration. 

Wilson’s introductory track, “My Jesus”—which she co-wrote with Jeff Pardo and Matthew West—is a warm invitation to experience her Savior in the same intimate way she knows Him. She released a debut three-track single—also titled My Jesus—for Capitol Christian Music Group in early 2021 and followed it up with a live EP, My Jesus (Live in Nashville). Her song, “My Jesus,” charted on the Spotify Viral 50, Shazam Top 200, and Rolling Stone Top 25 Trending charts. Her story was also featured in the Religion News Service and The Washington Post. She made her Opry debut on the iconic stage in September 2021. Wilson was featured in Billboard Magazine as the October 2021 Chartbreaker artist, and Wilson’s “My Jesus”  received a 2022 Billboard Music Award for “Top Christian Song” of the year. Her debut album, My Jesus, was released on April 22, 2022.

While this is her debut album, Anne Wilson has made its place all over including TikTok. Her debut single and title track of this album was the longest #1 single on Billboard’s Christian Airplay chart of 2021 at 7 weeks total. It was also nominated for a 2022 Billboard Music Award for “Top Christian Song” against Kayne West. (You can check out the awards yourself on May 15 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on NBC. It will also stream live on Peacock.) The song hit #1 on Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 and #19 on the Rolling Stone Top 25 Trending charts. Anne Wilson was featured as Billboard’s October 2021 Chartbreaker Artist in their 21 Under 21 issue. She also is the first female solo artist’s debut single to reach #1 on the Billboard Christian Airplay chart. 

Talk about a great start! She also just came out with a new song dedicated to her mother called Mama's! 😍😍😍 Talk about a perfect song for mothers day! I know listening to Anne's aspect of life has been a true blessing to me and I hope you will check her out soon!
